The Former Osun State Deputy Governor, Former APC National Secretary and 2026 APC governorship aspirant, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has publicly declared the support of his political structure for the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the August 15 governorship election in the state.
Omisore made the declaration through a post on his official Facebook page, where he announced that his political structure across Osun State had resolved to back Adeleke's second-term bid.
"It is official. The political structure of Senator Iyiola Omisore across Osun State has resolved to stand firmly with Governor Ademola Adeleke for his reelection," the former deputy governor stated.
According to Omisore, the decision was taken in the overall interest of Osun State and its people, as well as the continued pursuit of unity, progress, and good governance.
"This decision is in the interest of Osun State, its people, and the continued pursuit of unity, progress, and good governance," he said.
The former APC National Secretary further emphasized that his political structure remains united and fully committed to supporting Governor Adeleke as the state approaches the August 15 gubernatorial election.
"As we move toward the August 15 gubernatorial election, our position is clear, our structure is united, and our support is total," Omisore added.
The declaration is expected to bolster Adeleke's support base ahead of the election, with political observers noting Omisore's influence across various local government areas of Osun State.
