The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, and the party’s National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, on Thursday led top leaders of the party to Ado-Ekiti for the grand finale of campaigns ahead of the Ekiti State governorship election scheduled for Saturday.

The rally, which attracted party supporters and stakeholders from across the state, was organized to mobilize voters for the ADC governorship candidate, Dare Bejide, as political parties intensify last-minute campaigns before the poll.

Addressing the crowd, David Mark urged Ekiti residents to take advantage of the election to choose a government that reflects their aspirations and expectations. He emphasized the importance of democratic participation and encouraged eligible voters to come out en masse and exercise their civic responsibility on election day.

Speaking at the event, Aregbesola criticized the state of governance in the country and accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of failing to address the challenges confronting Nigerians. He called on the people of Ekiti to use their votes to bring about the change they desire and elect leaders capable of delivering good governance.

The ADC leadership formally presented Dare Bejide to party supporters during the rally, describing him as a credible candidate with the experience and capacity to provide responsive leadership and advance the development of Ekiti State.

Bejide, in his remarks, pledged to run an inclusive administration if elected, promising to prioritize the welfare of residents, infrastructure development, economic growth, and youth empowerment. He appealed to voters to support the ADC at the polls and assured them of accountable leadership.

The grand finale rally marked the climax of the ADC's campaign activities across the state and underscored the party's determination to challenge the dominance of the ruling party in the election. With campaigns officially drawing to a close, attention now shifts to Saturday's governorship poll, where voters will decide who leads Ekiti State for the next four years.
