The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the availability of replacement downloadable Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for voters in Odo-Otin and Ife Central Local Government Areas of Osun State whose cards were stolen during attacks on two collection centres.

The Commission disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, assuring affected voters that the stolen PVCs could not be used to cast votes in the August 15, 2026, Osun State Governorship Election.

INEC urged affected voters who applied for replacement cards to make use of the downloadable PVCs provided by the Commission ahead of the election.

The electoral body also reaffirmed its readiness to conduct a free, fair, credible and inclusive governorship election in Osun State.

The development comes as political parties and voters intensify preparations for the August 15 governorship poll.
