The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, has commenced its admission screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session, inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for its Degree, National Diploma (ND), Pre-HND and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.

According to the institution, the admission process covers a wide range of programmes in engineering, science, technology, management and aviation-related disciplines, reflecting AFIT's commitment to producing highly skilled professionals for Nigeria's technological and aerospace sectors.

AFIT stated that candidates seeking admission into undergraduate degree programmes must have scored a minimum of 200 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), while applicants for National Diploma programmes are required to have obtained at least 160 in the examination.

The institution noted that applications for the screening exercise opened on May 18, 2026, and will close on July 20, 2026. Prospective candidates who did not initially select AFIT as their first-choice institution have also been advised to effect a change of institution through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) before the stipulated deadline.

AFIT further disclosed that applicants for Degree and ND programmes are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000, while Pre-HND and HND applicants are expected to pay ₦10,000.

The Kaduna-based institution, owned by the Nigerian Air Force, is renowned for its specialized training in aerospace, aviation, engineering and technological innovation.
