The momentum for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s second-term bid received a massive logistical boost on Wednesday as Bamidele Salam, the lawmaker representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency, officially donated 10 buses and 150 motorcycles to the campaign.

The donation, aimed at strengthening the Imole Campaign Council, is designed to facilitate door-to-door voter engagement across the 42 wards within the constituency.

Strategic Mobilization

Speaking at the official launch in Ede, Salam—who also serves as the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee for the campaign—emphasized that the move is about "maximum support" for the August 15 governorship poll.

"The intervention is intended to improve campaign logistics, enhance grassroots engagement, and ensure our coordinators have the tools needed to deliver the mandate," Salam stated.

Key Highlights of the Event

  • Targeted Reach: The vehicles will be distributed to ward-level coordinators across Ede Federal Constituency.

  • High-Level Endorsement: Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, the Governor’s elder sister, praised the initiative, urging recipients to prioritize safety during the high-energy campaign period.

  • Party Solidarity: Senator Lere Oyewumi, Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, described the donation as a testament to Salam’s commitment to party development.

Looking Toward August 15

Prof. Wale Oladipupo, Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council, inaugurated the Ede Federal Constituency committee during the event. With the campaign machinery now fully "motorized," the PDP leadership expressed supreme confidence in a landslide victory for the "Dancing Governor."

The campaign council for the constituency will be led by Elder Sunday Atidade Akande, supported by local government chairmen and key party stakeholders.
