The Speaker of the National Youths Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN), Osun State Chapter, RT Hon. David Ojewale D'Senator, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the commencement of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Ojewale-led administration and the Office of the Speaker, Ojewale extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Osun State and Nigeria, urging them to embrace the values associated with the Islamic calendar.
According to the statement, the new Hijrah year presents an opportunity for reflection, spiritual renewal, and a recommitment to peaceful coexistence and societal development.
The NYAN Speaker prayed that the new Islamic year would usher in peace, prosperity, divine blessings, and renewed hope for individuals, families, and communities across the country.
He also called on citizens, particularly young people, to continue promoting love, unity, tolerance, and mutual respect as essential ingredients for national growth and harmony.
"May this new Hijrah year bring peace, prosperity, divine blessings, and renewed hope to every home. Let us continue to uphold the values of love, unity, tolerance, and mutual respect as we work together for a stronger and more harmonious society," the statement read.
Ojewale further urged Nigerians to draw inspiration from the significance of Hijrah by embracing sacrifices, perseverance, and collective responsibility in the pursuit of a better society.
The message concluded with a heartfelt "Hijrah Mubarak" to all Muslim faithful celebrating the Islamic New Year.
