OSOGBO – Governor Ademola Adeleke has officially reassured the people of Osun State that there is no cause for alarm following recent, unsubstantiated reports of school kidnappings in the region.

OSOGBO – In a proactive move to maintain public order and security, Governor Ademola Adeleke has dismissed recent claims of school kidnappings as false alarms orchestrated by opposition elements. Speaking on the current security climate, the Governor urged parents and guardians to remain calm, confirming that the state government has already implemented a comprehensive security strategy across all educational institutions.

"I task our people to go about their normal activities without fear. Our government has taken steps to secure our schools," Governor Adeleke stated. "The Ministry of Education and the relevant security agencies have worked out a security strategy that is being implemented."

The Governor further addressed the state’s security infrastructure, announcing the successful rehabilitation of several Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs). These vehicles, which were reportedly left in a state of decay by the previous administration, have been fully refurbished and are now ready for immediate deployment to support joint security operations across the state.

The administration reaffirmed its commitment to securing border towns and identified hotspots, warning that local intelligence networks are actively monitoring the situation to prevent any attempts to compromise the safety of citizens.
