The All Progressives Congress (APC) has established a commanding lead in the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election, according to results uploaded on the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
Data compiled by the Election Result Analysis Dashboard (ERAD) indicates that results from 1,258 polling units out of the state's 2,445 polling units have so far been uploaded to the IReV portal.
The uploaded results show the APC leading with 78,979 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trails with 10,736 votes. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has so far secured 2,964 votes.
With just over half of the polling unit results currently available, the APC enjoys a significant advantage over its closest rival. However, the figures remain provisional pending the completion of result uploads, collation by electoral officials, and formal declaration by INEC.
Election observers and stakeholders continue to monitor the collation process across the state, while voters await the final outcome of the governorship contest.
INEC has repeatedly urged the public to rely on official channels for election information and cautioned against the spread of unverified results.
Further updates are expected as more polling unit results are uploaded and collation progresses across Ekiti State.
