The Osun State High Court has fixed August 4, 2026, for the arraignment of Kazeem Oyewale, popularly known as Asiri Eniba, and 12 others over allegations of murder and unlawful possession of firearms.
The charges were filed by the Osun State Ministry of Justice in connection with the alleged killing of Oyebamiji Taiwo and Oyebode Damisi on February 17, 2025.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, the information containing the charges was filed at the registry of the Osun State High Court on June 19, 2026.
The government explained that the defendants allegedly evaded personal service of the court processes, prompting the court to order a substituted service.
Delivering the ruling on Thursday, Justice M. O. Awe directed that the charge sheet, proof of evidence and other court processes be published in the Nigerian Tribune edition of July 27, 2026, to serve the defendants.
The court subsequently adjourned the case to August 4, 2026, for the arraignment of Asiri Eniba and the other defendants.
The Osun State Government reaffirmed its commitment to the rule of law, public safety and ensuring that justice is pursued through due process.
